School of Perioperative Nursing

OBJECTIVES:

The post basic programme is designed to equip Registered Nurses with professional and special knowledge and skills required for efficient and effective Perioperative Nursing Services.

DURATION:

The duration of the course is Twelve (12) calendar months commencing November, 2014.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

. Possess the West African School Certificate/GCE/NECO with at least 5 credits (at not more than two sittings) which include English Language and at least one . Science subject i.e Physics, Chemistry or Biology NOT Health Science for candidates who finished General Nursing before 2006.

possess West African School Certificate/GCE/NECO with 5 Credits (at not more than two sittings) including English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and . Biology (Not Health Science) for candidates who finished the General Nursing after 2006. Note that a combination of WAEC and NECO results is ACCEPTABLE.

. Be Nurse Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

. Have at least one year post-qualification experience in a clinical area.

. Show evidence of release/sponsorship for the period of training.

TEST AND SELECTION INTERVIEW

Written tests and oral interview will be conducted at OAUTHC School of Perioperative Nursing, Ile-Ife. 

Written Test: Tuesday 17th June, 2014 

Oral Interview: 18th – 19th June, 2014.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application forms are obtainable from the office of the Deputy Director (Nursing Education) or Principal, School of Perioperative Nursing, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife at a cost of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) only payable by cash and not by Bank Draft to the schools’ Account No 6000024232 Mainstreet Bank, (OAUTHC), IHU, Ile-Ife.

CLOSING 

Completed application forms, duly endorsed by sponsors, together with photocopies of relevant credentials, should be forwarded to the office of the Deputy Director (Nursing education), OAUTHC, P.M.B. 5538, Ile-Ife not later than 10th June, 2014.
